We’ve made a lot of strides in the workplace to remove the stuffiness that our fathers once had to deal with. T-shirts and shorts on a daily basis isn’t out of the normal for the workplace along with gigantic beards compared to the past where suits and a clean shaven face was expected. We’ve also come to learn that sitting at a desk and putting a ton of pressure on your spine for 8 straight hours isn’t the healthiest thing in the world. Some people have switched over to standing desks but standing for 8 straight hours isn’t great either. You can do a hybrid of both and switch back and forth but a lot of desks don’t afford you that luxury. That is until the Altwork Station was created.
For those of us that are “high intensity computer users” that are sitting at a desk for 8+ hours a day typing away, the Altwork Station was made for us. The chair allows you to recline in an ergonomic friendly fashion and designs the keyboard and screen to be fitted to you (not the other way around which is how it currently is). If you get tired of reclining, the chair will allow you to move into a standing or traditional sitting position as well while allowing you to move the screen to accordingly. We’re not going to get into the debate of whether a sitting or standing desk is healthier but most will agree that being able to switch between multiple positions is one of the best options you can have. The Altwork Station will become available and start to ship in mid-2016 according to their site so be aware of that if you do decide you want to order it. If you pre-order you will save some money which could be very important with the large price tag this workstation has attached to it. Click here for image source and where to buy the Altwork Station.
