Blanka, Balrog, Chun-Li, Ryu, Ken, Guile, Zangief. Anybody that considered themselves to ever be a gamer at any point in the 90’s should know each one of those names and be taken back to the good ol’ days of gaming. The controllers only had three buttons, cartridges lasted forever (all of our games still work to this day) and every game was original. Fast forward to 2013 and we don’t have a lot of those games readily available along with the availability of purchasing some of these dated consoles.
At Games saw this problem and gave us the solution we needed by creating their Portable Game Player that is actually handheld so you can take it wherever you need. There are a lot of other handheld classic gaming emulators out there but this one seems to be able to provide the quickest Sega throwback remedy by including 80 games already built into it. That means you get games like Street Fighter I & II and Sonic the Hedgehog to entertain you for hours. There is also an SD slot built into the Portable Game Player that allows you to download more games and a 2.8 inch LCD screen that gives you a decent viewing area. If you are on the fence about getting this Sega Throwback handheld, take a minute to do the math on this. A new game for PS3 costs around $60 and is a gamble on whether it will be good or not. This is cheaper than a single game and you know that you will absolutely love every game that it comes with (plus you can use it while on the toilet).
Get nostalgic with the At Games portable game player and click the A button repeatedly to have Blanka light up with electricity to kick Ryu back into the 90’s where he belongs. Hopefully this portable game player doesn’t mean that we will get another terrible Jean-Claude Van Damme movie because Hollywood thinks that Street Fighter is relevant again.
