When you look at manly accessories, you walk a very fine line between losing a man card and looking sharp. You start carrying around a man purse, we will remove your man card. You rock a nice Italian belt, you’re looking sharp. Scarves are difficult as it can instantly lose you your man card or bump you into looking sharp (stay away from pinks scarves). Earrings border on man card removal but a nice pair of leather dress shoes move you into the sharp category. The timeless accessory that will always accentuate your sharpness is a good solid watch. It can be a status symbol, the perfect compliment to a nice suit, or simply functional by not forcing you to pull your phone out every time you want to know the time. We managed to find a watch that did all that.
We got our hands on the MVMT watch and the first thing we noticed was the solid weight it had. A lot of the watches in the $100-$300 category we demo are light weight and almost feel cheap and “junky”. When something feels that way, typically it will look that way. MVMT has managed to create a solid feel watch that looks like its worth about 4x the $100 price tag it has. The contrast between the black stainless steel band and black watch face with the red markers really make this watch dynamic. It will work with just about any outfit and stretches from a casual to a business professional aspect too. It’s rare when we can say that we’ve found a true everyday wear watch. The band fastener was also a point we wanted to pay close attention to as some of the other watches we’ve reviewed have crappy ones. The MVMT one was quick and easy to get fastened though which we were a big fan of. Overall, a very solid (and affordable) watch and one we would recommend!
