There are some smells out there that cannot be denied as some of the best in the world. The smell of Fall when the leaves begin to change color and there is that cool crispness to the air. The smell of chocolate chip cookies baking in the oven ready to be taken out at anytime. The smell of freshly cut grass is something that will make any man proud and take that deep breath in as he looks out on his lawn. Fresh brewed coffee will actually attract coworkers to any break room and put a little more pep in their step around the office. The smell that beats all smells though? The smell of a parking lot in early October filled with smokers and amazing meat being cooked right before a noon NFL game. If you don’t know that smell, we recommend you hop on the next flight to Kansas City and go to the next Chiefs home game to experience this. What does it take to get that awesome smell going? Good quality meat for one but the most important thing you need is a good smoker.
All of us at Gadgets 4 Guys got to try and demo a Bradley Smoker for the first time. If you haven’t heard of Bradley Smokers (which means a corner of your man card just got cut off) they are a reputable smoker company that make some innovative smokers. The first thing we noticed about the Bradley Smoker was how easy it was to actually setup the smoker. There weren’t a ton of parts and it was pretty darn easy to get it all together in a matter of minutes. The next thing we noticed about the smoker was how much room was inside of it. Most of the electric smokers you get at Walmart have a cheap build to them and three racks (tops) inside of it. The demo version we got was actually their four rack version but they also have a digital four and six rack version as well. The build of the Bradley Smoker felt solid and the inside looked like a chromed out Corvette engine.
The final part of the Smoker that we fell in love with was the auto-feeder of the wooden pucks or bisquettes. A lot of smokers that are out there require you to quickly open a door to throw in wood chips which lets heat out causing a less than positive smoking environment for the meat. Bradley knew this so they created the auto feeder that sends wooden pucks into the smoker while keeping the door closed (and the heat inside). We don’t do competitive smoking but we can tell you that as residents of Kansas City, we know good BBQ and we know good smokers from bad ones. Bradley has a series of awesome smokers that we give our full support of. Check out some of our photos below from our smoking session with it. Image Source.
