The Summer creates the need for silly things like tiki torches, candles that claim to ward off bugs, and extremely high water bills. The advantages of summer have a wide range which include the ability to listen to Kid Rock songs all Summer long not being judged, playing bags out in the yard, and having an excuse to stay up late at night because that is when it finally starts to cool down (our wife never falls for that either). The Summer is extremely hot which means it can be difficult to keep things cool which includes frosty beverages. This is always our delivery line that gives you the solution but this time you are going to create the “gadget solution” yourself with the DIY outdoor table with built-in coolers.
We managed to find a project that was done by Domesticated Engineer which is apparently the story of two engineers that build awesome stuff. They built this really cool outdoor table that has two different built-in coolers within it which cuts down on your drink commute by having them right in front of you. We loved this idea because even if you have a nice garage that has easy access to a fridge can still be a pain to get up and go grab it. It also creates the perfect piece of furniture that encourages people to sit around and have some fun in a centralized location and avoid the situation where you have little groups of people scattered randomly around the patio and deck. While the Gadgets 4 Guys office has taken a stab at a DIY project here and there but for the most part struggles with anything advanced. The plans that Domesticated Engineer provide are solid and one thing that is required is the Kreg Jig which we have come to love. If you don’t have this and consider yourself a weekend DIY warrior, you are way behind the times.
