Every year that we get older, we become more and more practical. We look at a pair of designer t-shirts that are $75 each and think how nice it would be to have. We then quickly realize that it would be much more practical to buy 75 pairs of Walmart t-shirts instead. We slowly begin our transformation into the non-styled old man look which ends usually with a pair of Teva sandals with black socks on. It is a scary thought but we just can’t justify paying top dollar for the different designer labels out there. How can we get high quality items like shirts, sweaters, shorts, and weekender bags without worrying about our depleting our child’s college education?
Everlane was a company we stumbled upon and actually had some dialogue with before deciding to feature them on the website. We were able to snag a couple of their items and demo them. They take a lot of pride in their t-shirts and after getting to try one on, we now see why. The material of the shirt was high quality but the fit of the shirt was what we really liked. The arms were tight enough to highlight what little muscle we have left and the rest of the shirt was comfortable while still being form fitting. It wasn’t a skin tight shirt but it also wasn’t ultra baggy either.
We were also sent the Twill Weekender bag along with their Dopp Kit. The Dopp Kit complimented the Twill Weekender really well. Both of the items had a very high quality make to them and little things like the zipper being smooth when opening and shutting elaborated on that high quality. The cool thing we liked about Everlane was that they actually provide a description of the factory that these bags were made. They go to the factories to establish a relationship with the factory owner while insuring that it meets proper labor conditions. Everlane actually cuts the middle man out and gets you the high quality items you need without the 8x mark up you usually see in stores. They have a wide variety of items they offer both in men’s and women’s so make sure to check them out and stop wearing socks with sandals. And do your Dad a solid and get him some stuff from here too for Father’s Day. Click here for image source and where to buy from Everlane.
