We try to avoid physical activity at Gadgets 4 Guys. It’s not that we don’t understand the health benefits of it or how it might help us to attain those Ryan Gosling abs we’ve always dreamed of but we just don’t like to. One of the biggest reasons we hate physical activity is because it is so hard to see tangible things being completed besides monitoring your weight. You don’t go from Danny Devito to Ryan Gosling overnight which is why working out and trying to get into shape is difficult. Instead of trying to get those sculpted abs, we should instead just focus on being healthy. If we get better sleep and make sure to consistently hit some activity levels every day, we know that will help us from a health standpoint.
Fitbit Force is trying to accomplish that. The new activity tracker from Fitbit has decided to take on more of a smart phone look and feel. With Force, you are actually presented with a digital display that can provide a bit more detail along with the time which is much more convenient than a lot of the current activity trackers. The OLED display can show different things like steps taken, stairs climbed, distance traveled, and can also offer a silent alarm too. Fitbit Force will have the standard things like analytics and showing your improvements over time which helps to show you the results of the effort you have been making. The Fitbit website also has a “coming soon” feature which will be phone notifications making things pretty in line with some of the smart watches we have been seeing come out. Are we saying that the Fitbit Force could completely replace something like Pebble? Not yet but maybe in the future. It does look like Fitbit has really bridged some gaps with the Force that won’t force you to pick your smart watch or Fitbit every morning with these new features.
