There are some things that make a lot of sense and other things that don’t. Nobody fully understands how a company is able to put a bunch of super dried up noodles and by simply adding hot water and a packet of magical spice, you are given such a delicious meal (Ramen Noodles). Mitch Hedberg was notorious for finding the little things in life that didn’t make sense and one of them was the relationship between our pants and the belt. His joke was based around the fact that a belt was meant to hold up your pants yet the belt didn’t do any good without the loops in your pants. So the real question was who in that relationship was doing the work? The belt? The pants? Belts haven’t changed in a long time, in fact our belts are the same style as the one our Dad used to smack us with. One thing we have learned at Gadgets 4 Guys is when a product stays the same for too long, it is vulnerable to disruption.
Cue the disruption for the belt industry (like that segue?). We were contacted by the creator of a new belt called the G6. A lot of the belts we are used to have a bulkiness and heavy weight that come along with them. G6 is a belt that tries to minimize that bulkiness by simplifying the parts that go into a belt. You will notice when looking at the G6 that there are no holes and that when you tighten the belt, there is no flap. The belt is about 1.5″ wide and comes in a variety of different colors to choose from. The G6 belt is also strong enough to hold 3,600 lbs. which should allow it to hold your Walmart American Freedom jeans up when you’re working in the yard. The current KickStarter campaign has destroyed it’s goal of $7,500 and continues to grow with almost two weeks left in the campaign. Click here for image source and where to buy.
