We just ate a Taco Bell Grande Meal in under 10 minutes (by ourselves). While we will probably brag about this to everybody in the office and anybody else that will listen but the truth is it probably isn’t the most healthiest thing in the world (the speed we ate it, not the fact it is Taco Bell of course). When you are watching TV and want to get back to not exercising, you often times get caught up and not realize how quickly you eat meals.
Hapilabs saw a problem the entire US has known about for several years but actually decided to create a solution for it with the HAPIfork. Eating too fast equals poor digestion and poor weight control. Every time you eat a bite with the HAPIfork, it is considered a fork serving. The HAPIfork will also tell you how long it took you to eat the meal, how many fork servings per minute, and the intervals between fork servings. You can then upload all of your stats to the dashboard on your computer which will track results and actually create different recommendations based on those stats. The HAPILabs app will also tell you different facts and things to change within those recommendations allowing you to change your eating habits and hopefully control your weight that much more.
The fact that every time you know that fork is lifted to your mouth it is getting counted on an app which will later judge you so it could naturally curb your eating habits before you even see how quick on eater you are. This was a gadget that made it’s debut at CES 2013 and is starting to get a lot of hype. “Smart Technology” integrated across the entire house and kitchen is something we should all get used to because it is going to be the next step in gadgets.
