We hate the word “disrupt” because in the tech world, it is one of the most overused hype words about things that are most of the time extremely boring. If somebody says they’re going to “disrupt” the parking lot industry, that is code for “we have an app that basically does the same thing your GPS app does”. When you hear that a company is claiming to “disrupt” healthcare, it is probably a piece of software that let’s you book your dentist appointment ahead of time. It always seems that people are trying to “change the world” with their inventions when a lot of us just want things to be easier. We don’t require much outside of that so don’t over complicate it.
We have begun to see a giant push for companies to disrupt the most unlikely of industries and it is the cooler industry. We have seen a cooler that has a built in blender and iPod speakers. There is a cooler that has LED lights built into the rim so you can see all of your drinks at any given point in the night. IcyBreeze has created a line of coolers that utilize a fan system and take advantage of the cool air a cooler produces. You can even store drinks and everything else but when your surroundings get too hot, you can turn on the fan which will blow the cool air out and make things more bearable. Once you fill up the cooler and get a power source to the cooler, you are ready to go which makes it a lot more flexible than a lot of window units. Gadgets 4 Guys wasn’t able to find out how much square footage one of these bad boys could cool off but it seems pretty legit. If you’re looking for an easy way to cool an area off, this might be the right item for you. Click here for image source and where to buy.
