Bluetooth speakers are a big industry right now with some very innovative designs seeming to come out daily. Your speaker can actually say a lot about you depending on what you have. If you have one of the high end Beats Pill or Bose speakers, you probably have too much money and we’re going to start calling you Daddy Warbucks. Those speakers are expensive and hard to justify spending that kind of money. If you have the junky $5 speaker that sounds like an old Honda CRX stereo system with the treble turned all the way up (and no bass) then you don’t appreciate music for what it really is. If you happen to have a Pringles can with a slot cut out, you’re either the cheapest friend of all or you are just plain innovative.
We’ve managed to find one of the more eye catching speakers out there and it’s called the LED Cube Speaker. The guys that manufacture this speaker thumbsUp! UK were nice enough to send us a demo so we got to try it out firsthand. The first thing we noticed was how easy it was to pair with our phones (we’ve had other speakers we tested in the past that make you jump through 5 hoops just to play music). Once the music started, the quality was actually pretty impressive for such a small speaker (and relatively inexpensive). You can answer phone calls and have conversations very easily too which was a nice addition to the rechargeable battery that made the Cube even more travel friendly.
Finally, you had the LED matrix of lights all over the cube that could be set to different patterns that would actually match the rhythm of music. It made the cube very eye catching which is always nice to hear other people remark, “Whoa, that’s cool! Where’d you get it?”. The speaker definitely has the wow factor down. You can also plug directly into the speaker if you’re not wanting to do so via Bluetooth connectivity. We were really impressed with the quality of the speaker and fell in love with the hypnotizing LED display. Click here to buy the LED Cube Speaker.
