Can you feel the chill in the air? That cool Fall weather slowly rolling in where the weather allows you to wear a comfortable t-shirt and not pit out. Can you smell burning leaves that are coming from that idiot neighbor Don? He didn’t get the memo 20 years ago when states began to look down on that apparently. While we are talking about the great things that Fall weather bring, G4G realizes the sad reality that winter is closely behind. For all you wimpy men out on the west coast (we are just kind of kidding) that get to deal with perfect weather year round, you probably don’t need to keep reading. For the rest of you rugged men that live in the midwest and east coast, a company Meindl has created boot with a simple yet ingenious addition to it.
Meindl has created a snow boot that are pretty heavy duty but also have the ability to extend or retract spikes for additional traction when the snow is deep. If you have ever tried to shovel a driveway after a hard Kansas winter snow, you know that it isn’t the easiest thing to get your footing in 8 inches of snow. With the Meindl boots, you can connect a key to the back of the boot and with a simple turn can extend the spikes when the situation calls for it. You will want to make sure that you don’t go all Ty Cobb and spike somebody with these bad boys it should be easier to trek across the Midwest plains during the winter time. The spikes are built into the sole of the shoe which make them easy to still wear on nice wooden floors and not destroying them (which is automatic divorce grounds if your wife sees it). Avoid the black ice slips and check out the Meindl Retractable Spike Boots and never fall on your butt again. Click here for image source and where to buy.
