Have you ever been around a long time smoker that is trying to quit? They will do things like chew their finger nails down to nothing and snap over the smallest things in the world. They will fidget and not be able to stand still for longer than two minutes while losing sleep due to their cravings. For those that can’t quit cold turkey, you have the option of trying the patch out which is just the fashion statement you want for summer time. You can also chew nicorette gum incessantly and drive all of the people around you insane while getting cotton mouth the entire time (we’re speaking from experience). If all of those things don’t work for you, you can become the biggest tool bag in the world and get an e-cigarette that has had little research done on the long term effects of it (while looking like a complete idiot).
There is a new KickStarter campaign that recently launched that is hoping to help you quit the nasty (and expensive) habit of smoking by showing you the analytics behind how much you smoke. It doesn’t give you ultimatums or shoot you up with nicotine that actually continues to fuel your cravings. The QuitBit Lighter is simply activated every time you light up. It will provide tips and different ways for you to slowly cut back each day and week. If you do have to try and utilize e-cigarettes or nicorette gum, the QuitBit can play nicely in tracking with those items too. A lot of times people don’t realize just how many cigarettes they smoke in a night (especially if you’re a person that smokes only when they drink) and the QuitBit will actually track that. Each time you go to spark another cancer stick, you will see the total number of cigarettes smoked that day. You will be able to set milestones, check on your smoking habits to try and avoid certain situations or times you tend to smoke, all through the app and the display screen on the lighter. They’re well over halfway to their goal with 22 days left to go so we think that this is one KickStarter goal that will be hit. Click here for image source and where to purchase QuitBit.
