Gadgets 4 Guys is based out of Kansas City. We’re proud of our Royals, our Chiefs, and the nice mid-western attitude we give to those that live here and all visitors. One of the biggest reasons we love this city is because you can get the big city feel but still have a house that has a sizable backyard and not be on top of all of your neighbors. The privacy of that though causes a lot of issues though because you have larger yards that are unlit at nighttime. As safe as this city is, we realize that security is important and maintaining a backyard that is completely lit up can be a huge deterrent for any potential bad guys out there. While motion sensor flood lights are good to have, what if you could take it to the next level?
The guys over at Versonel have sent us a series of their products for us to demo which has allowed us hands on experience with each of their products. We got to try out their recording motion sensor light that could really help give people a peace of mind whenever it is dark out. The lamp itself puts out a strong amount of light (855 lumens) but has a motion/heat sensor on it as well. When something moves into the tracking path of the light, the spotlight will actually follow the movement from a motor that shifts the direction of the light. That is pretty darn cool by itself. Versonel took it to the next level though by adding a camera and a built in SD card that will log photos and video of whatever the movement is. The camera is actually in color and has a detailed enough picture that you should be able to identify whatever person or small critter moves by the light. It is also important to note that the motor that has the light follow the activity should help deter anybody from feeling comfortable about coming close to your house.
