The normal safety knife or blades we use to cut open our cardboard boxes are flat out dangerous. The exposed blade that is often times forgotten to be retracted is constantly waiting for us to grab hold of and cut our hand open. The shape of the blade is so straight forward and doesn’t conform to our hand that we’re often flinging the blade across the room while trying to use it (another safety hazard). Finally, the blades are metal and often times will become rusted. And unless you want to go in for another tetanus shot (the nurses will likely start to look at you weird) in order to prevent further pain and suffering, maybe you should consider a non-metal solution.
Slice is a company we were introduced to and immediately fell in love with because every product they had took the extra step to take something very simple and make it elegant. Slice has created a ton of different precision cutters that are a much better option than a lot of the ones you get inside of Home Depot and are actually affordable. Here is a breakdown of a few of their products:
If you haven’t checked out Slice, be sure that you do. They have a ton of great products that embrace the art of great design. Click here for image source and where to buy the cutters.
