Most people have a love/hate relationship with their socks. We love them when we get done doing the laundry and happen to end up with the exact number of socks to create matching pairs. Outside of that, socks can really drive guys crazy. We hold onto them for way too long and they end up looking like our raggedy college shirts. We keep wearing them until we make the mistake of getting into an important business meeting and our raised pant leg shows the giant hole in the side. The CEO across the table notices, points it out to everybody, and you become the joke of the meeting that nobody forgets. How do we fix that while also contributing to a great cause? Sockracy has the answer.
Sockracy is a company with two missions: 1) help get men quality socks and keep them in quality socks and 2) give socks to those less fortunate. The steps are simple:
It is a very simple process and contributes to an amazing cause as well. It is surprising to hear just how important socks are to the homeless as we always think of coats and shirts being the main thing to donate. Sockracy apparently heeded the words of Lieutenant Dan and realized how important good (dry) socks really are. We got to try them out first hand and selfishly, we were most impressed with the quality of socks. The emblem even made the socks look super fancy and we were asked twice while out, what kind of socks they were. They weren’t too loose so you didn’t have to constantly pull the socks up and they weren’t so tight that you felt like you were losing circulation. You throw on top of the fact that we can now donate to the local Goodwill and have a sock drawer we know has matching socks, we can wholeheartedly endorse Sockracy.
