If you happen to be one of the lucky few that gets to work from home, we imagine your day starting off by you rolling over in bed and contemplating whether you really have to walk all the way down to the spare bedroom to work. After you manage to pull yourself out of bed, you stare at the shower for about two minutes trying to remember the last time you actually showered and realize you can’t remember. After you pass up the shower for the fourth day in a row, you finally make it to your computer. You quickly look at your calendar for that day and determine whether there is a need for you to actually put a shirt on or not (we know there is never a reason for pants). The rest of your day is basically you watching TV and periodically answering emails just to make sure that people know you’re alive. Did we nail it? Whether you’re a full time work from home commuter warrior or have a need for a good home office. Gadgets 4 Guys stumbled across the perfect desk for you.
The Techni Mobili RTA-3803 Desk is perfect for a home office. It comes in an L-shape which many newbies don’t realize the importance of. If you get a small desk, you quickly run out of real estate and have to keep clutter to a minimum. The other great thing about the Techni Mobili desk is it is built from decent materials and won’t fall apart like the traditional $100 IKEA desk (can’t trust Sweden). The legs are made of black PVC and the frame is built from steel. The actual desktop are glass panels that are frosted and look super cool. They included a slide out tray for your keyboard which is a huge plus so you don’t have wires protruding from everywhere. The desk was no more challenging to put together than any other standard office desk which was nice. The only thing we were left wishing from this desk was a tray under it or spots to manage wires so they didn’t have to drape everywhere. Luckily, there are more than a few gadgets you can purchase or do yourself that will take care of those pesky draped wires. We were able to get a hands on with this desk and actually put it together so we could give an honest opinion about the design, the effort required to put the desk together, and any other insights. Aside from a built in wire management system, there wasn’t much missing from this desk. The modern look can transform any boring home office and give it a pretty nice swanky look and feel. The L-shape is important for any guy that considers themselves half a geek and the computer tray is nice to have if you prefer to have it. We have included our pictures below of the different stages of putting the desk together to give you insight into what is required and needed. They don’t sell directly to customers so if you want to find out where to purchase, shoot them an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. They have a lot of other desks too that you can check out on their website. Click here for image source.
