We don’t want to break out the full nerdom world that is typing on a keyboard all day everyday. But we need to tell you that typing on a regular keyboard for years and years can lead to some uncomfortable health issues. Being men, we don’t like having to admit that something like Carpal Tunnel Syndrome actually hurts but that we earned that injury by typing on a computer. If we have an injury, it had better be an old football injury we earned while battling on the great gridiron. The idea of getting hurt at our computer desk can be a pretty big blow to even the most cocky male attitude out there.
Microsoft wants to help and have created the Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard which aims to cut down on a muscle strain which is one of the biggest causes of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and other repetitive action injuries. Those that use ergonomic keyboards will often swear by them but after doing a little research, it seems that researchers are having a hard time scientifically proving that ergonomic keyboards actually help with repetitive strain injuries. Gadgets 4 Guys did a bit of their own scientific research, and simply asked people around the office that use ergonomic keyboards if they helped.. The resounding answer? Yes. That actually has zero science to back it up but there are people out there that really love this style of keyboards. No matter what side of the argument you fall on, we can all agree that the Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard is pretty sleek. If keyboards were cars, this would be a black Ferrari (minus the price tag and feelings of inadequacy) due to just how smooth the design is. The cushioned area that your palms rest on will feel like tiny clouds holding your delicate and womanly wrists up.
