We like to think of ourselves as risky eaters. We’re not going to shy away from a challenge when it comes to food. You have a super nova buffalo wing challenge? Serve it up now with a side of Tums please. You don’t think we can eat 15 grilled cheeses in under 15 minutes? We call that an appetizer. You have chocolate covered grasshoppers and people think that is gross? Sprinkle some maggots on the top and we call that an awesome dessert. Do you get the point? We love inventive approaches with food which was why we were ecstatic to share this KickStarter project that was just recently funded.
The Spherificator will take any edible food and actually turn it into caviar pearls. Why would we need that? Let me put this into context for you: what if you could have tiny little beads of Tabasco sauce to sprinkle across our omelette? That means we would experience zero food invasion. Food invasion is when you have a delicious plate of different types of food that require different kinds of toppings. The invasion occurs when your Tabasco sauce runs into your cinnamon roll and completely ruins the delicious cinnamon goodness. The Spherificator can take most fruits and turn them into little beads which might be a game changer for the bar industry. Imagine being able to sprinkle tiny little beads of orange into your Blue Moon beer to keep the flavor completely maximized. While we love this idea, it will be a bit before we see the Spherificator make an appearance. They did meet their KickStarter goal with a total of over $191k raised. They hope to move into production and might (MIGHT) be able to beat the target go to market date they originally set. If you want to be a mad scientist in the kitchen, you can still reserve your product on the Spherificator website today. Click here for image source and where to buy the Spherificator.
