Who doesn’t remember taking that Industrial Tech class in middle school and turning a pop can into a very corny lamp. Years go by and we realize that if we had been able to use a few empty beer cans as a part of that design, we realize it would have been a perfect fit into a basement pub or man cave. The pop can lamp plans are no longer in existence since we are too busy going to the 20 year high school anniversary and have completely forgotten the plans from our middle school days.
We have a great solution that is very easy and it involves one of our most favorite things, LED lights! Satechi created a USB LED touch lamp that can easily be adapted into any open bottle or open vase. Don’t limit the choices of what you can plug this cool little LED adapter into. We took a look on the website and they have several different pictures where the LED Touch Lamp adapter was plugged into several different empty bottles that offer a very soft light which creates an awesome ambiance. You just plug in the light to the top of it and simply touch the metal top to turn the light on. We would consider this a DIY gadget but it has such little work that we aren’t sure if it should fall in that category. We also like to think that this is our little way of going green and recycling all of those empty bottles we seem to have at the end of each weekend. Combine that with putting it atop the creative wine bottles out there or whatever random vase you find at Bed Bath and Beyond (we know you shop there) you can really create unique lamps that people will compliment you on.
