What did Happy Gilmore teach us about golf? He taught us that golf is an all around boring “sport” to watch unless you have some entertaining golfers to watch (see John Daly). He taught us that if you ever need to find the different parts of a beer bottle, you can probably find them in a bar. We also learned that if somebody asks you to meet them on the green after hours for an “initiation” you should probably not go. Don’t ever play around with a nail gun if you have a boss that is a giant. The one thing that Happy Gilmore did make happen was break the stigma that “doing the bull dance” was against typical etiquette. Golf became more mainstream and kids everywhere began to perfect the running drive that Happy Gilmore made famous.
We have heard rumors that there are some golf courses out there that do not allow carts and actually make you walk the entire course (which sounds like torture). We have also heard rumors that some golfers actually prefer to walk (which sounds like pure insanity). Stewart Golf has decided to make things a bit easier and created the X9 Follow Golf Trolley. The idea is that the X9 will actually connect via Bluetooth and a couple of antennas on the trolley itself. When you activate and pair the handset with the X9, it will begin to follow you whenever you get outside of the “neutral zone” and stop when it gets within it. All you have to do is click the green “go” button and begin walking in front of the X9 Follow Remote Trolley and it will begin following you. Set the remote on the cradle when you’re ready to hit, pull the club, place the club back in when done, and start to walk again. X9 will be the hardest worker on the golf course. If only we could get it to make those 8 foot downhill putts. Click here for image source and where to buy the X9 Follow Remote Golf Trolley.
